The Summer zine I made for a swap. I have done a lot during the summer and would like to put everything into this little zine but 8 pages are just not enough to fit everything! Going to do a longer one later on for my summer journal. I will put up this 8 page one for free download once my swap partners have received them. Take Care! :D

I started to make mini zine for a while since I have joined the Swap-bot swaps hosted by Miss Pickle. It is great fun and got me thinking what other topics can be turned into a mini zine format. I drew up a mind map and one of the ideas pops out. Why not do a mini zine for Inspirational Quotes to help encourage others! So I made one and put it up for download. Feel Free to download it and leave me some feedback so it can be improved and be turned into a larger zine. :)

Little Thing magazine is an absolutely lovely magazine. Fill with lots of interesting articles and beautiful photos. I would love to link them here but their website is completely down!? I would take more photos of it and post them here later on.

{ Art Journal & RAK - Apr 20, 2012 }

I was cleaning up the apartment to prepare for the move and came across an A4 size half done art journal . Since I needed to make some pages for my Lifebook, I decided to cut it into two pages and put a few stickers onto them. The pages are way too thin and watercolor is bleeding through so I used the backing of the stickers as a back for the pages. The page with the kitty cat sticker will be part of the Lifebook for the Week In The Life 2012. The "Fly away" one will go into another creative project.

I came across the RAK, Random Act of Kindness, idea on Swap-bot. Being addicted to making zines, I decided to incorporate RAK into a mini-zine/journal. The above is the 1st sheet. I'm going to bring it with me to record the random acts of kindness all around. If it works, I will post the sheet here for download. Oh! I've jumped back into doing swaps recently. This zentangle atc is the first one I made.

The second mini-zine I've made ever. The template is from Miss Pickle of Fill it #2. Will post more photos of the swaps when they have been received by my partners. Swap-bot is a super fun way to pushing me into doing different art forms and meeting new people! :)

{ Art & Life zine by Teesha Moore - Oct 22, 10' }

I absolutely love Teesha Moore & her work. I have even made a travel journal for my Shanghai trip based on her videos so I'm very happy when the shippment arrived from the States full of goodies I ordered from her. I opened the envelope to find a beautiful Art & life zine and high quailty collage sheets inside and they added a postcard, 2 buttons, and 3 rubber stamps as gifts!!! OMG! It was like an early Christmas!

I especially love the buttons and the rubber stamps. One of the stamps says "embrace imperfection", I will stamp this onto my agenda to remind myself that it is ok not to have everything done and it is ok to relax once in a while. :)  I ordered the zine with a lot of expectations (well it is by Teesha Moore! ) but still a little bit hesitant since I really don't know what the zine is going to be about. So I'm going to post the table of contents of Art & life 8 here if you have always been thinking about ordering one too.

My goal list for Show us your goals in life =] hosted by KatlynAva Inchie for Beginners Inchie Swap #2 hosted by dreamgrlsd I have also joined The Amelie Movie Swap, Cupcakes ATC Swap, Mini-'zine swap #5 (June), Tarot card, Psychic, Magic inspired ATC!!, SpongeBob Squarepants ATC, Newbies Brooch Swap! All of these swaps can be found on Swap-bot. I am especially excited about the Amelie Swap. So looking forward to it. :) I'm happy to report that all my finals for the term are over! Going to start a list of things to do in the summer. :3

Mini zine Apr 09'

The art journal mini zine I made for the Mini-'zine swap #3 (April) hosted by Zoey1440. I thought this would be easy since I have worked on school newsletter before, but turned out that I have forgotten mostly about leaving enough margin to photocopy my mockup. After I have adjusted that, I wasn't thrilled about the quality of the colorcopyies. So I decided I would do this by hand. It took a relatively long time to finish. Planning on my next one in June. --- What topic should I pick?

I haven't done much journal page lately since I'm working on my mini zine and school assignment. Exams & finals are all in early May -_-;. Hoping to catch up during the long weekend. Will post images for the finished zines after my swap partners have received them :)
